Telus Communications Inc., new radiocommunications tower (BC112099) in Takla Landing, BC.

Description:  Telus Communications Inc. is proposing to erect a new 53m self-support radiocommunications tower on Takla Nation-owned lands in the community of Takla Landing, BC.  The purpose of the tower is to provide improved wireless service including voice and data to the rural residential areas in the community.  The tower will house several large (8 ft.) panel antennas to support a variety of communication technologies in the PCS, AWS, BRS and Cell bands.  The tower may undergo periodic antenna additions, replacements, or other minor modifications.

Rescindment of Notice of Determination.

On 2023-07-24  a notice of determination was posted in error.  The public comment period on the project is closed.  Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
