No nuclear

I'm a lifelong resident of Thunder Bay with Anishinaabe roots. I'm a member of the Fort William First Nation. I oppose the DGR as it is risky, dangerous, and goes against the position of numerous First Nations and treaty/tribal organizations. I strongly oppose the decision to exclude transportation from the project description. This is inconsistent with the NWMO's own position and does not reflect the reality of this project. The DGR requires transportation of nuclear waste. Simply put, there is no DGR without mass transportation of nuclear waste across Anishinaabe territories. The project description excludes this necessary component to try to limit First Nation input and opposition. It is an example of silencing and controlling First Nation voices. This approach must be rejected. The project description must be amended to reflect the full picture of this dangerous project.
