A federal impact assessment by the Impact Assessment Agency must be done for the nuclear waste dump west of Ignace; and transportation of the high-level waste should be included in the process. The waste is to be transported hundreds of kilometres past many natural and habitated areas which would be greatly harmed but a spill caused by an incident during the transportation.
