The Nuclear Waste plan is not going to work for the transport of nuclear waste through NWO. The people of NorthWestern Ontario know when I say, the amount of transport truck related accidents is far from few. There is at least two a week in the the Northern Region Area and if you plan to put nuclear waste in this area you are risking hundreds of years, generations of families and their health, and the lives of the people in NWO. There is already limited healthcare for our residents. Meaning limited specialty doctors, nurses, equiptment and resources are limited. We have many people in our population here from other regions of Ontario for healthcare. Now imagine that nuclear waste gets spilled, how are our healthcare resources going to stand up. Sure, initiatives can be put in place but how will the long term look? Will there be risks or flaws to the containers of waste, will there be long term degrading of the pot that the waste is being put into? The health of northwestern Ontario is no less than those of where the nuclear waste is coming from. But also, Why are you putting horrible nuclear waste into untouched areas of the province? We have reserves, we have Crown land that can be used to live on when all the other pollution in the world rots what we have civilized. NWO is untouched beauty. Near cottages, camps. By our houses. Elementary schools. Farms. And the main route most of us take everyday. Don't give approval to this project when all information is convoluted and it's all for the money to go into the wrong hands of someone who won't even experience the long term effects. Or cares about the long term, short term and the effects on environment and agriculture.
