During their last meeting, municipal Council considered the letter received from Northwatch, dated January 9th 2026, wherein Northwatch explained that Nuclear Wast Management Ontario was seeking to exclude the transportation of high-level radioactive wastes (to the Revell site) from the impact assessment process. 

Given the quantity and duration of transportation involved and in light of the many safety issues surrounding Highways 11 and 17 and the countless accidents occuring thereon, Council strongly urges you and fully expects that transportation be assessed in the federal review process.
