Compensation Plan for further project delay or rejection

I live in Sparwood BC. It is pretty clear how important is EVR and FRX for the provincial and local communities economy and well being. Is there compensation plan or mitigation framework to address potential employment losses, economic decline, and housing impacts resulting from the project? Specifically, is there provision for economic support (coming from the federal government) for residents and small businesses in Sparwood, Elkford, and Fernie, designed in a way that does not increase the provincial deficit, raise taxes, or contribute to inflation?

I would also appreciate clarification on the federal government’s policy direction regarding future mining and oil project development. Clear guidance on this matter is important for long‑term planning, including personal (I have my wife, two kids, properties and investments), financial, and business decisions.

In the absence of regulatory certainty and predictable timelines, individuals and families may be required to consider alternative jurisdictions that offer a more stable and business‑friendly environment. Understanding the federal outlook would allow stakeholders to make informed decisions well in advance.

On a personal level, I would consider going back to my home country (Peru), where EA are being expedited now for mining projects. Argentina and USA are good options as well.

Thank you.
