DGR Project

I would like to give my opinion on the dgr project west of Ignace. I have lived in Ignace since 1967 and watched the community grow during the mines operation then the shutdown of the mines. I am looking forward to the jobs and growth the town will get from this project. I own a camp on a lake north of the dgr site so when I first heard of the township putting its name in for the dgr I was totally against it . Then I went to a presentation by the NWMO and thought I need to get more involved to learn as much as possible about it. After being on three different committees concerning the dgr and travelling down to southern Ontario to different information sessions and courses I now feel the project is totally safe. Both the transportation of the used fuel and the dgr. It was a total turn around for me and my hat is off to the NWMO for a good job in getting the information about the project out there to the people of Ignace.
