Serious concerns about Deep Geological Repository for nuclear waste.

I have deep concerns about the potential plan to excavate a deep hole in the Canadian Shield, put highly radioactive waste from nuclear reactors into it, seal it up and abandon it. Nuclear energy presents numerous problems including it's high cost relative to renewables, the inability to replace fossil fuels in time to mitigate the climate crisis, the risk of pollution at all stages of the nuclear cycle, and the possible link between the nuclear industry and nuclear weapons. 

Let's say no to further nuclear development, and YES to much greater emphasis on truly renewable energies like solar, wind, and geothermal.
