Kehewin Cree Nation Telus Tower AB103726

TELUS plans to build a telecommunications tower to service the community of Kehewin Cree Nation. The project will require an access road to be constructed. Once complete the total site area will be 1420 m2 and contain a guyed tower structure and 12 x 12 ft shelter. Construction activities include drilling for concrete piers, concrete piers/blocks poured for the shelter and tower foundations, and a concrete pad in the tower center. Everything is assembled on site except for the shelter which comes prefabricated. Fill materials will include gravel and wash rock.

End of Public Comment Period

July 29, 2024- The public period on the project is closed. Indigenous Services Canada is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
