Construction of a new pediatric center "Mamonitokiwan center"

The future pediatric center will be built in the community of Opitciwan. More precisely, the project is located on Sikon Street, near the intersection with Amiskw Street, in Opitciwan. A building as well as a parking lot for employees and beneficiaries will be constructed. The footprint of this project is 7370 m2.

May 16, 2023 – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments until June 16, 2023 respecting that determination.
