Douglas Lake Ranch Transmission 3 - Phase Line Relocation

BC Hydro plans to complete Phase 2 of the DY-0476 Douglas Lake Ranch (DLR) Project (the Project). Phase 1 construction was completed in 2021 and involved the relocation of Merritt 25F144 overhead (OH) transmission lines between Nicola Substation (NIC) and DLR Substation. Phase 2 of the Project will complete Merritt 24F144 OH relocation within Upper Nicola Band Reserve Lands (Douglas Lake 3). The following works will be conducted by BC Hydro as part of the Project: Overhead distribution line relocation along Corral Road (Removal of 11 poles, Replacement of two (2) poles); and Overhead distribution line relocation along Douglas Lake Road (Installation of two (2) new poles, Replacement of 14 existing poles, Installation of six (6) pole anchors).


Latest update

June 12, 2023 – Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
