Lourdes-de-Blanc-Sablon Airport, Québec - new sensors installation

NAV CANADA is deploying additional sensors at our HWOS compound. The additional sensors are as follows: A Precipitation Gauge, a ceilometer, and an Area Distribution Panel (ADP) (Outdoor electrical panel). New concrete bases will be installed and possibly a new service pole to accommodate a new 100amp service.

NAV CANADA Construction Services will be responsible to submit an additional LU File to capture the trenching and machinery used. The additional LU file will be submitted once the cable routing is available.

Work to start around the beginning of May and go on for roughly two weeks.

Excavation will be required to run the conduit between the bases and power from the service to the Area Distribution Panel (ADP). The trench is expected to be roughly 2 feet deep, and 3 feet wide with a total volume of approximately 2,925 cubic feet for roughly 325 feet.

The equipment and machinery that will be used during the work will be a dump truck, cement truck and mini excavator. The ground will be brought back to its original state.
