Good morning
Reading this update and I am amazing at the comment that consultation with indigenous communities have not shows any concerns. I have expressed more than once that construction like this is the water is not acceptable.
I do water ceremonies to protect the water and the species in it and this entire project goes against all our beliefs. I am Mi’kmaq and do not want to see any windmills in our bay near Bay St. George. There is an abundance of studies showing impact to the species and the environment which takes years to recover. This goes against protecting our waters for the next seven generations and protecting our food, livelihood. Makes me wonder if anyone is even listening to our people.
Many of our fisher people make a living off the sea and these windmills would disrupt that. This has been commented many times during consultations, from our people. The warming of our waters are moving lobsters farther off shore.
I am many other are against windmill development in the water period.
No windmills in our water!
