Little Red River Cree Nation: Fox Lake New School

Little Red River Cree plan to construct a new school to the north-east of the existing Jean Baptiste Sewepagaham School in Fox Lake. The site is presently forested and approximately 1.02 hectares will need to be cleared to accommodate space for the school and a parking area. Once construction is complete the area will be backfilled, graded, and seeded with native species. Clearing of trees is planned to occur during winter months so as to mitigate the risk of harm to migratory bird species.
