The Proposed Project

The Fort Frances Tribal Area Health Services (FFTAHS) Transitional Housing Phase 1 project includes the completion of site surveys, clearing, site preparation, grading and construction of access roads to facilitate future servicing and construction of a 14-unit transitional house to service the Treaty #3 communities. The project is located in Agency One First Nations off of Idylwild Drive, and northeast of the Town of Fort Frances, Ontario.

Latest update

January 3, 2023 – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments until February 3, 2023 respecting the determination.
