New Broadband Communications North Inc. Telecommunication Tower on Pine Creek First Nation Reserve No. 66A

Broadband Communications North Inc. is proposing a new 36.5 metre telecommunication tower located on the Pine Creek First Nation Reserve No. 66A. The tower will be built to provide wireless internet services for the community's businesses and members. The wireless service will be provided by a 5 GHz system using sector antennas and fibre backhaul. In the future, the tower may have other antennas and other radiocommunication equipment added or replaced.

Notice of Intent to Make a Determination – Start of Public Comment Period

2022-05-09 – Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.  To help inform this determination, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is inviting public comments until June 9, 2022 respecting that determination.
