Installation of three oil wells and associated pipelines- Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Suffield

International Petroleum Corp. IPC Canada Ltd is proposing to drill 3 oil wells and install associated pipelines and utilities within the Oil Access Area on Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Suffield, approximately 75 km from Medicine Hat, Alberta (16AB-8-20-7 and 1D-28-19-8). The sites will be built to support a drilling rig and rolled back upon completion. The Right-of-Ways (ROW) for the pipelines and utilities will be reclaimed once construction is complete. The sites and ROW will be fully reclaimed and surrendered upon exhaustion of the productive life of the associated wells.


Latest update

October 18, 2021— The Department of National Defence issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
