Fence Repair and Installation -Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) Suffield

The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project which involves the repair of damaged fences at 9 sites. Activities will include replacement of damaged posts, re-attachment and /or tightening of barb wire as well as the removal of razor wire, and damaged non-reusable materials. New wildlife friendly fences will be installed at 4 sites for a total of less than 2500m of new fencing.

September 15, 2021 - The Department of National Defence intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, the Department of National Defence is inviting public comments until September 24, 2021 respecting that determination.
