Sunchild Culvert 2 Replacement Project

Sunchild First Nation plans to upgrade a watercourse crossing located on an unnamed tributary to the Baptiste River. The proposed project includes the replacement of four existing multiplate culverts (2700mm Ø x 50m length) with a single open-bottom arch culvert (11023mm x 2448mm x 31040mm). The roadway in the vicinity of the culvert will also be upgraded.

February 23, 2021 – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments https://iaac-aeic.gc.ca/050/evaluations/proj/81395 until March 25, 2021 respecting the determination.
