Fortis Alberta Underground Powerline Installation

Fortis Alberta will be trenching in a powerline from the North Gate to Astotin Day Use Area to replace the current overhead line that runs from the north park boundary, cross country to Astotin Lake Day Use Area.

23 December 2020 – Parks Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Parks Canada is inviting public comments until 22 January 2021 respecting that determination.
