Airfield Pavement Repairs, 12 Wing Shearwater, CFB Halifax, Nova Scotia

DND is proposing to carry out airfield pavement repair activities at 12 Wing Shearwater. The proposed project is expected to consist of the replacement of asphalt pavement on the south utility (approximately 14,000 metres squared), crack sealing at select locations, and line painting on the entire airfield. The replacement of storm infrastructure, including catch basins and piping, may also take place in the area of the south utility.

Latest update

September 30, 2020 – The Department of National Defence issued its Notice of Determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
