Shoal Lake 40 New K-8 School

To construct a new 1,704 sq. m K-8 school building with classrooms, library, cafeteria, multi-purpose rooms, a large gymnasium, staff offices, meeting rooms and support spaces. The school grounds will also include a soccer field, basketball court, playgrounds, outdoor cooking area and outdoor educational areas, as well as support infrastructure such as garbage collection, snow storage areas, parking lot and a septic tank and field. The school site covers an area of approximately 3.5 ha.

May 29, 2020 – Indigenous Services Canada issued its notice of determination https://iaac-aeic.gc.ca/050/evaluations/document/134888 and determined that the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. .
