Kootenay Crossing Warden Station Decommissioning

This project involves the decommissioning of the warden station at Kootenay Crossing including three residential buildings, a garage, and a staff building, as well as the remediation of a contaminated site where a diesel was spilled in 2018. Privies as well as a solar-powered emergency telephone will be installed on site for visitors. This project will be assessed with a Basic Impact Assessment.

12 march 2020 – Parks Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
