Kainai Forage Processing Plant Storage Expansion Project

Blood Tribe is proposing the construction of additional metal hay storage barns and gravel access between barns, on the site of Kainai Forage, formally Blood Tribe Forage Processing Plant. Expansion will enable the Tribe's business to grow from 20,000 Metric tonnes of hay export per annum to over 100,000 Metric tonnes per annum.

February 11, 2020 – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments https://iaac-aeic.gc.ca/050/evaluations/document/133846 until March 13, 2020 respecting the determination.
