Pefferlaw Small Craft Harbour Tree & Brush Removal

Fisheries and Oceans Canada's Small Craft Harbours branch is planning to complete work at the mouth of the Pefferlaw River, in Pefferlaw, ON. The work involves the removal of approximately 20 trees (ranging in size from 150mm - 300mm in diameter) and brush from the federally owned breakwater/river entrance structure, from Lake Simcoe. This structure is not directly connected to shore, and can only be accessed by water or ice.

The eastern breakwater structure has become overgrown with vegetation, creating an unsightly condition and a hazard to navigation. The object of this project will be to remove the trees and brush, without allowing felled trees or brush to enter the watercourse. All cut brush and trees will be removed from the site, and appropriately disposed of by the contractor.
