Fort McKay First Nation K-9 School

Fort McKay First Nation is proposing to construct a new 5, 694m2, 300-student capacity, K-9 school. The site will include 2 baseball diamonds, full-size running track with a soccer field in the center, and a 390m2 bus maintenance building. The site is approximately 8.2 ha or 20 acres in size.

November 27, 2019 – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments https://iaac-aeic.gc.ca/050/evaluations/document/133154 until December 30, 2019 respecting the determination.
