Long Plain First Nation Water Treatment Plant Upgrades – Public Comments Invited

May 26, 2023 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Long Plain First Nation Water Treatment Plant Upgrades, located in Long Plain First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

The Proposed Project

Construct a WTP building expansion and a water reservoir expansion. Install an outdoor emergency genset unit. Construct a new parking lot area. Install new water treatment equipment. Decommission school pump house. Install production well. Coordinates: 5519688 N, 538081 E, Z 14. Project Start Date: June 30, 2023. Project End Date: October 31, 2024.
