The Proposed Project

Elsipogtog First Nation currently owns and operates a three-cell facultative (i.e., non- aerated) lagoon-based communal wastewater treatment system.  The system services much of the developed area of the Nation with some exceptions.  There are currently six (6) sanitary lift stations, the intent of this Project is to replace or upgrade four (4) of the lift stations numbered 1 thru 4 located as follows:

  • Lift Station 1 (LS1) – Riverside Drive
  • Lift Station 2 (LS2) – Wharf Road
  • Lift Station 3 (LS3) – Sunset Street
  • Lift Station 4 (LS4) – Park Lane

The scope of work for each lift station is unique and will be limited to the already developed area for the existing lift stations. The scope of work will generally involve the following tasks:

  • Site development and drainage improvements,
  • Construction of a new lift station building,
  • Repairs/ replacement of the existing wet wells,
  • Upgrading dated mechanical equipment,
  • Installation of a portable generator,

The individual construction sites are within the same developed footprint of the existing lift stations.
