The Proposed Project

Jacob Bros Construction Inc. is proposing to construct a temporary pre-cast concrete facility at the Vancouver International Airport to produce pre-cast concrete panels for an off-airport project.  The facility may also be used to provide pre-cast concrete products for other projects, including projects at the Vancouver Airport.  The facility will be located at 4491 Ferguson Road at the Vancouver International Airport in Richmond B.C.

The project consists of constructing a new temporary pre-engineered 3,500 square meter tent structure with associated gravel-surfaced storage areas. The site is previously developed and is currently used as a gravel works yard and construction staging area. The site will be re-graded with new drainage and gravel roadways established.  Site set up may include installing new electrical, lighting, fencing, signage and fuel storage. Construction activities will include excavation, concrete slab, and footings, and set up of the tent and associated equipment. The total project area is approximately 14,000 square meters.

The facility is expected to be in place for approximately 1 year and will be decommissioned at the end of the service.
