July 26^th, 2021 – The Montreal Port Authority (MPA) has determined that the proposed project Removal of obstructions to navigation at the berths of Montreal and Contrecoeur for the years 2021 – 2025 is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

Mitigation measures taken into account for this determination are:

• Surface water managememt
• Containment and spill management
• Operation of machinery
• Community impact
• Contaminated sediment management

Therefore, the MPA may perform any duty or function to enable the project to be carried out in whole or in part
