The Proposed Project

The project consists of the construction of a subdivision that will provide 78 fully serviced subdivision lots for house construction to expand upon an existing community located at Section: 33-58-25-3. This will require clearing forest, road construction and service instillation. Services in the subdivision will consist of sewer, water, power and natural gas. Water will be pumped from Ministikwan Lake through an existing water treatment plant.

The subdivision will require site preparation and roadwork, trench excavation, domestic sewer instillation, residential buildings and utilities (sewer, water, power and natural gas).

-Clear land by removing trees and stripping topsoil
-Grade area
-Installation of sew and water lines
-Road construction and street lighting
-Utilities instillation (electric, natural gas, sewer, water)
-Topsoil replacement were applicable.

Minimal construction waste will be generated, which will be deposited in the local landfill located on the reserve.  No hazardous waste is expected to be generated by this project. Any potential harm to migratory birds, their eggs or their nests will be mitigated by the appropriate species detection surveys (breeding bird surveys, stick surveys, nest sweeps) that will be completed prior to construction.
