The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project which will include the removal of the existing patio stones, regrading existing soil so that the slope travels away from building, installing 6 inches of new aggregate substrate, installing a membrane and replacing stones with poured stamped concrete. A 3 foot swale will be created around landscaped edges of patio. The existing seven benches will be removed and disposed of. The 2 stumps (approximately 12-14 inch diameter), the 2 small trees (approximately 6 inch diameter) and the 5 large trees (approximately 12-14 inch diameter) will be removed and disposed of. There will be 10 new Crimson King Maple trees planted outside of the patio (grass side of swale).
