PUBLIC NOTICE

CAP-AUX-MEULES WHARF - REMPLACEMENT OF A BOLLARD

May 18 2022 - Transport Canada must determine whether the proposed project located in Cap-aux-Meules is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Transport Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public [and may be posted online]. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Noticeon the Registry website.

The proposed project

The project consists of the reconstruction of a new mooring terminal at the Cap-aux-Meules wharf in order to replace the existing B77 terminal with a greater capacity (75 MT).

The works include:

  •      Bollard removal;
  •      Removal of a concrete base from the ramp and other sections;
  •      Removal of the foundation of the existing bollard;
  •      Replacement of all these elements.

The work is scheduled for the summer of 2022.
