New Broadband Communications North Inc. Telecommunication Tower on Pine Creek First Nation Reserve No. 66A - Public Comments Invited

2022-05-09 – Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada must determine whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online.

Written comments must be submitted by June 9, 2022 to the contact identified on the project page.

The Proposed Project

Broadband Communications North Inc. is proposing a new 36.5 metre telecommunication tower located on the Pine Creek First Nation Reserve No. 66A. The tower will be built to provide wireless internet services for the community's businesses and members. The wireless service will be provided by a 5 GHz system using sector antennas and fibre backhaul. In the future, the tower may have other antennas and other radiocommunication equipment added or replaced.
