Non-Passenger Screening for Vehicles - North – Public Comments Invited

April 29, 2022 – The Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) must determine whether the proposed Non-Passenger Screening for Vehicles - North located at Toronto Pearson International Airport is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, the GTAA is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public. The Proposed Project

A Non-Passenger Screening Vehicle (NPSV) facility for screening all vehicles entering the critical restricted area will be built in the northeastern portion of Toronto Pearson Airport. It will be located on the northeast quadrant of the North Service Road and the Vista Cargo Service Road. The project includes a one-storey slab-on-grade 200 m squared building for security screening and a 700m squared covered area for vehicle inspection, plus six parking spaces. Connection to required utilities (electrical, water, sanitary etc.) will also be undertaken.
