Samson Cree Nation Water Infrastructure Replacement – Public Comments Invited
February 17, 2022 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Samson Cree Nation Water Infrastructure Replacement, located in Maskwacis, Alberta is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

The purpose of the Project is to address flow and water pressure deficiencies of the Nations existing infrastructure. The Project includes the installation of a booster station (tied into existing infrastructure), installation of an emergency backup generator, and replacement of approximately 1,390 m of watermains. Watermain replacement will occur during two phases.
