April 6, 2021 — Parks Canada Agency terminated this Basic Impact Assessment. This project was initially targeted for a BIA level of assessment under the IAA prior to the development of the Ontario Waterways Preapproved Routine Impact Assessment for Structures in Water. As the BIA hadn't yet been completed, the IA pathway of decision was revised to a PRIA pathway as it was felt this was more appropriate given the level of risk and complexity. The project was approved April 6, 2021 using the PRIA pathway, and includes mitigitation measures for air, water, fish, other aquatic organisms, wildlife, migratory birds, species at risk, and vegetation.
