The Proposed Project

The Department of National Defence (DND) has proposed a project which aims to develop a new mountain bike trail network on Mont Brillant. The project includes a trail network covering between 8 and 15 kilometres. The first stage of the project (2021) is the realization of a master plan through a specialized company. Based on Global Positioning System readings, orthophotos and light detection and ranging readings, the Master plan will include a map of the future-trail network, the necessary drainage network, soil characterization, etc. The Master plan will then allow us to go on a bidding process for the building of the new trails. Depending on the availability of the budgets, the building works will be spread out through 2 or 3 fiscal year.
