Notice of determination for the Peepeekisis Community Centre

September 27, 2021 - Indigenous Services Canada has determined that the proposed Peepeekisis Community Centre is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

The determination was based on a consideration of the following factors:

-Peepeekisis community center will benefit its membership

-no comments were received from the public about the project

-mitigation measures are required for the project

Implementation of the following mitigation measures is required for the project:

-waste will be taken to an appropriate landfill

-refueling practices will involve spill precaution measures

-the community center will be connected to the community water and wastewater systems

-site access will be limited to authorized workers with adequate training

Indigenous Services Canada is satisfied that the carrying out of the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
