August 30, 2021 - Indigenous Services Canada has determined that the proposed Zagime Greenhouse is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

The determination was based on a consideration of the following factors:

-Agriculture Canada has funded the greenhouse under the Local Food Infrastructure Fund which will benefit Zagime's membership

-review of project description

-no comments were received from the public about the project

-mitigation measures are required for the project

Implementation of the following mitigation measures is required for the project:

-relevant provincial regulations related to water setbacks will be adhered to

-Any clearing required will be completed outside the migratory birds nesting windows

 

Indigenous Services Canada is satisfied that the carrying out of the project is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
