Public Comment Period on Intent to Make a Determination

August 16, 2021 - Infrastructure Canada must determine whether the proposed Curve Lake Catch Basin and Roads Stormwater Improvements Project, located within the Curve Lake First Nation reserve No. 35, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Infrastructure Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

Project summary :

The project will improve the storm water management along 14 km of Mississauga Road which is the only access road to Curve Lake First Nation. This project is occurring on Curve Lake First Nation No. 35 Reserve lands, near Buckhorn, ON, and the proponent is the Curve Lake First Nation. The project will rehabilitate Mississauga Road to improve drainage and traffic flow, install catch basins to improve stormwater management, and improve ditching throughout the community to improve water and reduce flooding.
