19 May 2021 – The Royal Canadian Mounted Police must determine whether the proposed Remediation of a Royal Canadian Mounted Police Property, located in Stony Plain, is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are proposing to complete an environmental assessment and possible soil remediation at an RCMP owned property in the Town of Stony Plain, Alberta. Project consists of assessment of onsite soil conditions, potential removal of hydrocarbon contaminated soil, and disposal of contaminated soil offsite at a certified landfill.
