Notice of intent to make a determination

O'Chiese Culvert 3 Replacement Project – Public Comments Invited

April 15, 2021 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed O'Chiese Culvert 3 Replacement Project located on O'Chiese First Nation reserve land is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

O'Chiese First Nation plans to replace and repair culvert and road assets damaged by the 2020 spring flooding. The proposed project will replace a damaged culvert, located at 8-27-44-10-W5M, with a new culvert of appropriate size for the drainage area. The project will also repair the road crossing the culvert to pre-flood condition and add erosion control.
