The Proposed Project

The New Queens District Detachment will be a newly constructed building adjacent to the Town Hall in Cornwall PEI.  The building will be located on the corner of the former TCH (now Main St.) and the newly constructed Mercedes Drive.  The main detachment will be a 2 level structure of approximately 1500 square meters.  There will also be a separate storage building for RCMP equipment that will be approximately 200 square meters.  The building will be serviced by existing municipal infrastructure and will have a generator back up system.  This new Detachment will allow for various units to be located in the same building, increasing overall effectiveness and efficiency.  The project will provide current, up to date building and security standards to support RCMP investigative activities in the area of jurisdiction, while being able to better serve the community.
