Frog Lake First Nation Water System Project – Public Comments Invited

January 6, 2021 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed Frog Lake First Nation Water System Project located in Frog Lake First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

The water infrastructure upgrades include a new water treatment plant located on the north side of Frog Lake, a new raw water intake, a new raw water intake pump station, a new raw water pond, a new raw water transfer pump station, treated water transmission line, and local residuals management. The new infrastructure will be sized to the 20-year projected water demand.
