Truck Parking Construction - Nordel Way Area – Public Comments Invited 

December 7, 2020 – As part of its Project and Environmental Review process, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority must determine whether the proposed Truck Parking Construction – Nordel Way Area, located at 10008-10022 River Road, Delta, BC is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. Written comments to be received by January 5, 2021.

To help inform this determination and a decision on whether or not to approve the proposed project, the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public and may be posted online. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project 

Pacific Gateway Constructors General Partnership on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure are proposing to modify an existing storage yard to temporarily create a truck parking area under the scope of the Highway 91/17 Upgrade project at 10008-10022 River Road in Delta, BC. As part of the project, the applicant is proposing to install a temporary portable restroom facility and 12 LED operated overhead lights/poles. The works will require 12 augured hole excavations to install the light poles and may also require minor trenching for water service. The works are anticipated to place during standard working hours and take approximately one week to complete.
