Public Notice - Public Comments Invited

2020-10-05 – Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada must determine whether the proposed project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

Written comments must be submitted by 2020-11-04 to the contact identified on the project page.

The Proposed Project

Xplornet Communications Inc. is proposing the addition of a 0.61 m microwave antenna, in the 18 GHz band, mounted at the top of an existing 21.9 m tower which is located on Peguis First Nation Reserve No. 269. The antenna will be installed to improve network access of high-speed internet for Percy Hospital. In the future, the existing tower may have other antennas and other radiocommunication equipment added or replaced.
