Public Notice

1 October 2020 – The Royal Canadian Mounted Police must determine whether the proposed : Interior & Exterior Upgrades to Facility, located in New Wes Valley is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.

To help inform this determination, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project

The building was built in 1986. There is the main building and a shed on the premise. This is a one storey building with 349 square meters of total area. The structure is of a wood frame and concrete with metal siding and brick veneer on exterior. The statement of work includes both interior and exterior work. Exterior work is not limited to replacing walkways, driveway and parking lot, replacing lighting, and adding key pad and exterior post. Interior work is not limited to restructuring various rooms to meet RCMP requirements, including updating lighting throughout and upgrading fire alarm system. Estimated extent of repaving is approximately 1000 square meters.
