The Proposed Project

The project involves the replacement of conduit linking communications towers at the Major E.J.G. Holland VC Armoury located at 2100 Walkley Road in Ottawa, Ontario. There are two existing antenna towers on site currently connected to communications infrastructure in the armoury building via existing underground and on ground cables for power, RF transmission lines, and lighting protection grid. The cables will be replaced and encased in PVC pipe and poured concrete duct banks. The existing cables will be left in place and new excavations (in a different location) will be dug to install the new conduits. This will require some excavation of asphalt and manicured lawn areas around the building and temporary removal of a portion of the site fencing.
