The Proposed Project

TransLink proposes to carry out refurbishment and upgrade works to the South SeaBus terminal at 495 West Waterfront Road, Vancouver. The proposed works are primarily utility related and involve the replacement, upgrading and relocation of existing systems. These works include the installation of an upgraded electrical substation and emergency back-up generator in a new location, external to the building. The generator and substation will be elevated on a concrete pad and enclosed by a concrete upstand wall, with a louvered screen on top. Additional works include the rerouting and upgrading of electrical utilities to service these units, and the installation of the following upgraded structures and utilities: embarkation/ disembarkation automatic doors, CCTV system, fans and louvers in the Skywalk curtain wall, and fire, sanitary, electrical and water related services.
